“You should only worry about the small things only, don’t worry about the bigger things as they will take care of themselves”. This is what my previous work colleague used to tell me at my previous sales job.
I’ve always used this mentality everywhere I’ve gone and succeeded. The most successful people go to extreme lengths as much as possible to concentrate on the smallest finest details.

Fine Margins are present in every single profession, be it architecture, business or sports and I find the idea truly fascinating. Can you imagine that a blade of grass could be the difference between a horse winning a race or coming in second place or a slight change in the wind could change the direction of a bullet where someone in the world will luckily survive.
I started to do this by asking myself what can we control and what can we not control?
Well it’s obvious we can’t control factors such as the weather and other people but however what we can control is our character, physique, emotions and the list goes on.

Through this way of thinking I would go a long way making sure I work on the small details such as eye contact, voice fluctuations, my smile, posture and even my pronunciation of words. Even though it sounds ridiculous to say the least, I started hitting my targets and being more successful and this has taken me to achieve more things in my life as I just focused on what mattered and let fate take over the rest.
If you look at successful people, they are very meticulous and focussed on the finer details For instance, did you know that US Politicians spend thousands of dollars on hiring tie specialists who advise them what colour tie they should wear for each rally. Sounds ridiculous or too far-fetched doesn’t it? Not only that, they also hire specialists who decide on what shoes they should also wear even though none of us really care about this.
Even though most favourable ones win their campaigns just shows the amount of extraordinary lengths people go to make sure they succeed at what they do.
Therefore, I believe that every action you do has an impact or an effect. Depending on your profession you should be always be very conscious and about what you are doing. If you are a businessman or an athlete or any other profession, you should work on your technique or form and the finer details that the industry requires. Don’t overthink about the things that you can’t control, let mother nature take its course…
